Texas H.B. 1041
Child Sexual Abuse and Child Abuse
Requires districts to adopt policies regarding sexual abuse of children. Specifies that policies must address methods of increasing parent, student and teacher awareness of sexual abuse of children, including warning signs that a child may be a victim of sexual abuse; actions that a child victim of sexual abuse should take to obtain assistance; and available counseling options for students affected by sexual abuse. Establishes task force to develop a strategy for reducing child abuse and improving child welfare.
