Voluntary Prekindergarten Program

Revises requirements for a good cause exemption for a Voluntary Prekindergarten (VPK) Program provider who fails to meet minimum student readiness rates for kindergarten. Eliminates the cap on the percentage of VPK providers who may fail to meet student readiness rates for kindergarten. Permits nonpublic schools to administer the statewide kindergarten screening to each kindergarten student in a nonpublic school who was enrolled in the VPK program.
