Connecticut S.B. 438 - Sec. 18

Out-of-School Suspensions

Provides that all student suspensions must be in-school suspensions, unless during the hearing the administration determines that an out-of-school suspension is appropriate for such pupil based on evidence of (1) previous disciplinary problems that have led to suspensions or expulsion of such pupil, and (2) efforts by the administration to address such disciplinary problems through means other than out-of-school suspension or expulsion, including positive behavioral support strategies. http://www.cga.ct.gov/2010/ACT/PA/2010PA-00111-R00SB-00438-PA.htm
