Transfer of Suspended or Expelled Students to Alternative Education

Permits a student who has been suspended for more than 20 days to be immediately transferred to an alternative program. Provides that an eligible student may not be denied participation in an alternative learning opportunities program solely because s/he has been expelled, or suspended for more than 20 days. Provides an exception when such transfer is deemed to cause a threat to the safety of students or staff in the alternative program.
