Kindergarten Entrance Ages

Updates cut-off date for entrance ages into kindergarten. For the 2013-14 school year, a child must be five years of age by November 1. For the 2014-15 school year, the child must be five years of age by October 1. For the 2015-16 school year, the child must be five years of age by September 1. However, permits a child that will be five years of age by December 1 of a school year to enter kindergarten if the parent or
legal guardian notifies the school district in writing. The school district is permitted to make a recommendation that the child is not ready, but the parent retains full discretion to make that determination.
