Expanding Scope of Anti-Bullying Laws
Defines "communication", "cyberbullying" and "harassment". Prohibits students and school employees from engaging in bullying; cyberbullying; harassment; hazing; retaliation; and making false claims regarding the aforementioned conduct. By September 2011, requires the state board's model anti-bullying policy to expand to include cyberbullying and harassment. By September 2012, requires local boards' anti-bullying policies to include cyberbullying and harassment.
