CASigned into law 09/2002P-12Extends the repeal date of certain provisions of law requiring traffic to yield the right of way to certain transit buses in specified counties. Requires every transit bus operated by a public agency on behalf of a public agency that provides public transportation services to be equipped with a 2-way communication device that enables the driver to contact the agency in the event of an emergency. Exempts buses operated by or on behalf of school districts.

Also requires school districts and nonpublic schools to report number of ninth graders who do not graduate from the school or school district, as well as the number of students who are tested on multiple assessment measures to determine student achievement levels, and the percentage of students who are so tested annually.
