Finance
Through the Local Schools, Regional Support Initiative fulfill the promise of state spending on local education funding to 55%, creating $800 million new dollars over a four-year phase in.

School Districts
Currently, 152 superintendents oversee 290 separate administrative units, reduce amount of administrative units to 26.

School
Keep local schools open and boost classroom resource, while improving student outcomes.

Parent/Family
Enhance local oversight with more involvement from parents through local advisory boards.

Leadership
Ensure there is a full-time principal for every school.

Teacher Quality -- Compensation
Increase teacher salaries.

Teacher Quality -- Professional Development
Increase funding for increased professional development for teachers.

Technology
Major expansion of the laptop intiative for all students grades 7-12.

Community College
Provide tuition reimbursement of 50% for community college students.

Finance (Postsecondary)
Appropriate $14.4 million to the University of Maine System, $11.7 million to the Maine Community College System and $2.1 million to the Maine Maritime Academy.
