Parents/Family
Increase funding for the Parents as Teachers program.

Fund 100 technology classrooms in 100 different schools to improve math and science skills.

Extended Day Programs -- Math and Science, Health
Expand quality afterschool math and science programs and physical activitiy and health programs.

Special Education
3.9 million to focus on diagnosis and improvements for children with Autism Spectrum Disorders.

Technology
Expand access to high-speed internet.

Accountability (Postsecondary)
Coordinating Board for Higher Education should create standards and measure performance of state postsecondary institutions.

Finance (Postsecondary)
Tie postsecondary education funding to standards and measures that the coordinating boards sets.

Tuition/Fees
Only under extraordinary circumstances will the Coordinating Board for Higher Education be able to authorize tuition increases that exceed the rate of inflation.

Finance (Postsecondary)
Invest $40 million new dollars to increase state support for colleges and universities.

Financial Aid -- Scholarships
Increase need-based scholarship funding from $27.5 million to $72.5 million.

Economic/Workforce Development
Recruit students into the health care professions and forgive loans for students who are preparing to be Missouri doctors, dentists and nurses.

Finance (Postsecondary)
The Lewis and Clark Initiative, a partnership between the Missouri Higher Education Loan Authority and the state to sell loans held by people in other states to bring $335 million into the state to strengthen college and universities' capital needs.
