Early Learning
Double pre-kindergarten program enrollment from 2,200 to 5,000 four-year-olds.

Charter Schools
Invest $20 million for Charter School funding.

Facilities
Dovote $283 million to relieve overcrowded schools and catch up with repairs.

Extended Day Programs
Invest in After-school Enrichment programs to tutor and mentor students.

Extended School Year
Continue and expand efforts to extend school days, offer longer school years and pay for math, reading and summer institutes.

Teaching Quality -- Hard-to-Staff Schools
Forgive loans for teachers who work in low-income areas and give a tax credit to encourage highly qualified teachers to work in schools with the greatest needs.

High School -- Dropout Rates/Graduation Rates
Raise the dropout age from 17 to 18 years of age.

High School -- Graduation Requirements
Increase graduation requirements for students.

Finance
Fund schools based on time students are in class.

Affordability
Invest another $50 million in the College Affordability Act.

Financial Aid -- Scholarships
Provide 2,500 more scholarships for needy New Mexicans.

Tuition/Fees
Limit tuition hikes to 5% and create a tax credit to help pay for college tuition and fees.

Finance -- Lotteries
Reduce Lottery Scholarship Fund spending on bureaucracy.
