2011 National Indian Education Study (NIES) Results from NAEP - The National Indian Education Study (NIES) is administered as part of the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) and is designed to describe the condition of education for American Indian and Alaska Native (AI/AN) students in the United States. The results are provided from a nationally representative sample of 5,500 AI/AN fourth-graders and 4,100 AI/AN eighth-graders participated in the 2011 NAEP reading assessment nationwide.
