State Higher Education Finance FY2012 - Higher education is in bad fiscal shape. The State Higher Education Finance report (2012) is just out, concluding the recessionís effects continue with state and local support for public colleges down 7% from 2011, the lowest level in 25 years. Meanwhile, according to the report by State Higher Education Executive Officers (SHEEO), net tuition revenue per student climbed from 23.3% in 1987 to 47% in 2012.
