Student Achievement in Florida's Charter Schools: A Comparison of the Performance of Charter School Students with Traditional Public School Students - Charter schools offer parents and policymakers a viable option for improving education in Florida, says a report produced by the Florida Department of Education. Using student achievement data from 2011-12, the study concludes charter students outperformed traditional students in 55 of 63 proficiency comparisons.
