Evaluation of Expeditionary Learning Middle Schools - The Expeditionary Learning (EL) model operates in 160 schools in 30 states using an interdisciplinary curriculum for students and professional development for teachers and school leaders. In the first rigorous study of EL, researchers found an extra five months of learning growth after two years in reading and an extra seven months of reading growth after three years.
