Skilled for Life? Key Findings from the Survey of Adult Skills - American adults did poorly in mathematical and technical skills compared to their counterparts in most developed countries, according to an international report. Young American adults lagged behind their international competitors in math and technology, but also in literacy. "This report underscores the importance of investing in adult education in the U.S.," said Martin Finsterbusch, president of the National Coalition for Literacy.
