Diploma Options, Graduation Requirements, and Exit Exams for Youth with Disabilities: 2011 National Study - Trends and consequences of changes in diploma options for youth with disabilities were examined. Authors found that policies were being modified on a regular basis, graduation requirements tend to be increasing in rigor, and more youth with disabilities are taking high-stakes exit exams, but with accommodations. Recommendations include clarifying the implications of developing and granting alternative diploma options. (David R. Johnson, Martha L. Thurlow and Matthew J. Schuelka, National Center on Educational Outcomes, April 2012)...
