Technology, Teen Dating Violence and Abuse, and Bullying - Technology's role in teen dating violence and abuse and teen bullying was studied in 10 northeastern schools. Researchers confirmed online abuse, harassment and bullying are common teen experiences. One in four dating teens is abused or harassed online or through texts by their partners. One in six is a victim of cyber bullying by peers. Online harassment and bullying is a red flag. Not only did students report high rates of cyber bullying and dating abuse, but also physical, emotional and sexual abuse offline and in person. (Janine M. Zweig, et al., Urban Institute, Justice Policy Center, July 2013)...
