Help Wanted: Advanced Education and the Changing Workforce

PDF - More than two-thirds of the jobs being created in the fastest sectors of the U.S. economy now require at least some education beyond high school. Creating enough college-educated workers to meet the demand will require smarter investment strategies for the dollars we now devote to postsecondary. If more is not done for the workforce of the future, the U.S. economy may face rough waters. Better skill-building, more funding, greater access to a college education -- an all-hands-on-deck approach to the education challenges of America's new century is required.
