Teachers' Tools for the 21st Century: A Report on Teachers' Use of Technology - This report uses multiple data sources to describe teachers' use of education technology in their classrooms and schools. It examines the availability of this technology in their classrooms and schools, their training and preparation for using it, and the barriers to technology use they encounter. Key findings include: 99% of teachers have computers available in their school, with 84% saying they have at least one computer in their classroom and 10% having more than five. Lack of computers, lack of release time for training and lack of class time were cited as the main barriers to using computers and the Internet for instruction.
