Document Number: 2929 National Commission on the High School Senior Year - This commission was created by the U.S. Department of Education in collaboration with several foundations to examine students’ experience in their last year of high school. The commission has supported the development of several major papers and conducted extensive focus groups with high school graduates. Two final reports will be issued: the first will explore various aspects of the problem and the second will make recommendations.
