I Love Teaching But…: International Patterns of Teacher Discontent - This article reports the results of research into the career motivation and satisfaction of a sample of over 3,000 teachers and school administrators in four countries: Australia, New Zealand, England and the United States. It concludes that while teachers in all four countries report high satisfaction at the personal levels of working directly with children, they rated their overall occupational satisfaction as low.
