Addressing Racial Disparities in High-Achieving Suburban Schools - This report addresses racial and ethnic achievement differences in high-performing suburban school districts. Based on the findings, the author suggests four recommendations for schools, communities, and state and federal policymakers: (1) assume no motivational differences, (2) address specific skill deficits, (3) supply ample encouragement routinely, and (4) provide access to resources and learning experiences.
