Homelessness and Its Effects on Children - This report explores (1) how homelessness affects the health and cognitive and emotional development of children at various ages, and (2) how the effects on homeless children can be mitigated or even reversed. Nationally, 75% of homeless children perform below grade level in reading and 54% perform below grade level in math.
