Institute for Education and the Arts - Founded by the National Music Center and Museum in Washington, DC, in collaboration with the Library of Congress and the Smithsonian Institution, the institute works at the policy, research and classroom levels. It convenes “Big Question Meetings” for experts and practitioners; operates a Fellows Program; facilitates instructional design and implementation workshops for local boards, officials and education practitioners; forges partnerships to bring arts in education research, policy expertise and long-term support to local schools; and is working toward establishing an arts in education clearinghouse on policies, research and practice....
