Document Number: 5283 Center for Arts Education Research - Founded in 1993, the center conducts both applied and basic research. The first major study undertaken by the Center was an assessment of the work of artists in the aesthetic education program of the Lincoln Center Institute, New York City. Other studies have been conducted in Hartford, Conn. Philadelphia, Pa., and Baltimore, Md. and in New York City. Each project involved the development of innovative assessment instruments, on-site visits, team analysis of data and the production of a full report.
