Document Number: 5350 The Jason Foundation, Inc. - The Jason Foundation, Inc. was founded in 1997 and is focused on educating young people, parents, teachers and others who work with young people about youth suicide. They provide the Promise for Tomorrow school curriculum for grades 7 through 12, inservice workshops for educators, parent seminars and student seminars. The organization also provides a brochure on the C.A.R.L. line, an innovative program in youth suicide prevention. It is a 24-hour/seven-day telephone “Resource Line” staffed by trained clinical specialists for anyone in need of information regarding suicidal ideation in youth. They are capable of handling crisis calls, but primarily operate to provide important information to parents, teachers and other youth workers to help them identify and assist youth who are possibly considering suicide.
