States Institute on International Education in the Schools - This annual conference brings together state and national leaders in policy, business, education and philanthropy to address the wide gap between the growing economic and strategic importance of Asia and other world regions to the United States, and U.S. students' limited knowledge about the world outside our borders. The Web site provides information about the 2002 and 2003 conferences, as well as links to the reports emanating from those gatherings. Site visitors also can access information about state initiatives developed out of the States Institute, U.S.-China exchanges and much more....
