Document Number: 5524 AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) - This college-preparatory program for underserved students is offered at more than 2,200 schools in 36 states, with almost 55% of these schools in California. Ninety-five percent of AVID students enroll in college, with 77% enrolling in four-year institutions – compared to 35% nationally – and 17% in community colleges.
