Program for International Student Assessment (PISA) 2003 Summary: U.S. Performance in Mathematics Literacy and Problem Solving - This summary contains results from PISA mathematics literacy and problem solving tests of 15-year olds residing in Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) countries. U.S. students scored below the OECD average in mathematics literacy and problem solving, and even the highest achieving U.S. students were, on average, outperformed by their OECD counterparts.
