Document Number: 5722 Colorado LINK: Teen Suicide Prevention Initiative Evaluation Report Summary - This report assesses the work of a privately-funded initiative in two Denver high schools to provide suicide prevention services through education, screening and treatment, as well as treatment at a homeless and runaway youth center. Strengths and challenges of the Colorado LINK Teen Sucide Prevention model also are identified. The study found that the program reached most students at the high schools, and in the high school that fully implemented the screenings, 50% of referred and screened youth were at risk of suicide, a majority of whom did not have prior access to mental health treatment.
