Document Number: 6210 Duke University iPod First-Year Experience Final Evaluation Report - In August 2004, Duke University distributed Apple iPod devices to 1,600 entering first-year students for use as part of an initiative to encourage creative uses of technology in education and on campus. This report discusses the results of the first year's initiative. In addition to music and foreign language classes, use was reported in some social science, humanities and engineering courses. The report discusses academic uses of the iPod, as well as benefits and problems encountered.
