The Nation's Report Card: Mathematics 2003 - This report presents results of the National Assessment of Educational Progress 2003 4th- and 8th-grade mathematics assessments. Results are disaggregated by a number of factors, including race, gender, geographic location, highest level of parents' education, type of school and eligibility for free or reduced price lunch. The report finds that the average 4th- and 8th-grade mathematics scores were higher in 2003 than in all previous assessment years. (James S. Braswell, Gloria S. Dion, Mary C. Daane and Ying Jin, National Center for Education Statistics, July 2005)...
