Highlights include: (1) most programs are funded through a mixture of private-sector contributions, grant money and state funding, and It remains to be seen whether many programs are sustainable after their founding grants expire; and (2) curricula vary widely across academies, but most academies use the Interstate School Leaders Licensure Consortium standards for school leaders as a foundation and make alterations to the framework according to their state context.
