Document Number: 6626 Show Us the Money: Low-Income Students, Families and Financial Aid - One of the greatest obstacles facing low-income students as they apply for college is a lack of information about financial aid programs. According to this study conducted by the University of Southern California, many urban high schools are unable to disseminate even basic financial aid information to their students, including the types of programs available and how to apply.
