Document Number: 6691 A New Look at the Institutional Component of Higher Education Finance: A Guide for Evaluating Performance Relative to Financial Resources - More money does not always translate into higher quality, according to this report from the National Center for Higher Education Management Systems (NCHEMS). Researchers compared higher education budgets with performance in the states and found that higher education can succeed when state funding drops off. Postsecondary education in Colorado, for example, remained productive and successful, despite lower levels of funding than other states.
