Document Number: 7030 Implementing Graduation Counts: State Progress to Date - This report provides information on states’ progress in implementing the graduation rate all 50 governors agreed in 2005 to adopt. Intelligence on the state of state data systems is also provided, as are guidelines states can follow to help ensure greater uniformity and comparability in graduation rates. According to the report, three states – Arizona, New York and Texas – already calculate their graduation rate according to the methodology agreed to in the 2005 Graduation Counts Compact, and by 2010, 39 states expect to report a graduation rate using the compact definition.
