Document Number: 7697 Report to the President on Issues Raised by the Virginia Tech Tragedy - In the wake of the Virginia Tech shootings, a task force examined ways to ensure privacy and individual freedom,safety and security, and assisting those with mental health needs. The report includes recommended actions the federal government can take to support state and local communities and ensure that the federal government and federal law are not obstacles to achieving these goals. The recommended action are an attempt to frame the issues and identify tangible steps we can take over time to help prevent events like the Virginia Tech tragedy.
