Document Number: 7787 Preparation Gap: Teacher Education for Middle School Mathematics in Six Countries - This report explores the results of a study of the mathematics content knowledge and pedagogy knowledge of students at the end of their teacher education programs in six countries: Korea, Taiwan, Bulgaria, Germany, Mexico and the United States. The results show important differences between students among the countries in terms of their knowledge of mathematics content as well as their knowledge of mathematics pedagogy.
