Helping Students Navigate the Path to College: What High Schools Can Do - With the effort to improve the college-going rate we must not only assure that students are academicallly prepared by the end of the 12th grade but also make students aware of the discrete steps they must take in high school to prepare for college. These steps include taking entrance exams, applying for college aid, submitting college applications and selecting a college. This practice guide offers recommendations on steps high schools can take to aid students and their parents in the process.
