Document Number: 8251 Educational Attainment, "Brain Drain," and Self-Employment: Examining the Interstate Mobility of Baccalaureate Grades, 1993-2003 - This paper looks at the issue of employment and location ten years after a baccalaureate degree is awarded. In general, the findings are consistent with the existence of "brain drain" from many states. The self-employed appear to have the same motivations as their wage and salary counterparts, suggesting that the choide to become self-employed is entirely different from the decision whether or not to relocate.
