2011 SREB Fact Book on Higher Education - The annual Fact Book on Higher Education provides comparative data and trends for Southern regional colleges and universities in a national context. Selected findings include: educating the increasingly diverse population to ever higher levels; college enrollment trends are promising, but alarming gaps remain; higher education is still the best bet for higher pay; college graduation rates in the region are below U.S. averages, but more students are sticking to their studies; women and minorities lead growth in degrees; affordability gap grows for middle- and lower-income students; and a collision is coming between demographic trends and college affordability.
