Early Childhood Inclusion - This is a joint statement from the Division for Early Childhood and the National Association for the Education of Young Children that provides a shared national definition of early childhood inclusion. The statement encompasses three aspects of the inclusion of young children with and without disabilities in early childhood programs: access, participation, and supports. It also provides ideas on how it can be used to improve early childhood services--from the programmatic level to the federal level.
