Document Number: 9800 Quality of Early Childhood Development Programs in Global Contexts - This article argues for a greater emphasis on quality to truly achieve more equity in early childhood services in low- and middle-income (LAMI) countries. The authors assert that while more work on expanding access remains to be done, international and national efforts to improve young children’s well-being in these nations need to increase their attention to the quality of early childhood services. Further, attempts to do this cannot merely transfer existing tools and strategies from economically advanced countries.
