Document Number: 9852 Preschool Programs Can Boost School Readiness - In its more recent study of state-funded pre-k programs in Tulsa, Oklahoma, researchers from Georgetown University examined the impact of the Tulsa Public School (TPS) program relative to Head Start programs. The study found that participation in the TPS pre-k program was a more powerful predictor of cognitive gains than any other demographic factor.
