Providing Preschool Education for All 4-Year-Olds: Lessons from Six State Journeys - This brief describes lessons learned by six different states Florida, Georgia, Illinois, New York, Oklahoma, and West Virginia in their pursuit of universal pre-k. The use of research, presence of political commitment, parental demand, and declining enrollment in public schools are factors that, the researchers argue, bolster efforts for pre-k expansion.
