Strengthening Benefit-Cost Analysis for Early Childhood Interventions: Workshop Summary - This report “summarizes a workshop that was held to explore ways to strengthen benefit-cost analysis so it can be used to support effective policy decisions.” It presents innovations and challenges related to each step of benefit-cost analyses: from determining the impact of a program to calculating its costs to assigning economic values to its benefits. The gathering explored emerging methodologies, such as using short-term outcomes to project future economic benefits.
