Teaching Students To Be Peacemakers - The research analysis of this program demonstrates how conflict resolution procedures and skills can be taught to students, faculty and staff members. Program goals include making the school a safe place where violence and destructive conflicts are prevented and constructive conflicts are used to improve the quality of school life; teaching participants to negotiate to reach agreements liked by all disputants; and freeing teachers’ time and energy that would otherwise be engaged managing classroom conflict.
