Balanced Leadership Profile 360 - McREL's Balanced Leadership Profile 360 survey provides principals with professional development feedback regarding their: (1) fulfillment of 21 principal leadership responsibilities associated with student achievement as identified in McREL's Balanced Leadership research, and (2) leadership of change efforts in their schools or district. The survey is based on McREL’s ground-breaking study of school leadership documented in the report Balanced Leadership and the 2005 ASCD publication, School Leadership that Works. SREB's Leadership Curriculum Modules Engage Leaders in Solving Real School Problems - This brochure describes the purpose, contents, instructional design and training activities of the Southern Regional Education Board’s (SREB) leadership training modules, which are offered to universities, state leadership academies and school districts. The 14 modules prepare aspiring and practicing principals to lead changes in school and classroom practices that support improvements in student achievement. University faculty, professional development specialists and others who teach a module must complete an instructor training session offered by SREB. Council of Chief State School Officers (CCSSO) - A nationwide, nonprofit organization, CCSSO is composed of public officials who lead the departments responsible for elementary and secondary education in the states, the U.S. extra-state jurisdictions, the District of Columbia and the Department of Defense Education Activity.
