Getting Ahead--Staying Ahead: Helping America's Workforce Succeed in the 21st Century - Viewing the recession, soaring unemployment and underemployment and the reset of the global economy are throwing longstanding U.S. problems with education and training into high relief. The Business Roundtable felt it was apparent that the U.S. lacked a strategy to help workers of America get the skills they they and our businesses need and decided to convene the Springboard Project, an independent commission of 26 of the nation's best thinkers from different sectors.
