Students in Foster Care - With a nod to the 400,000 children and youth in foster care, the U.S. Department of Education moved to help stabilize their K-12 experience by releasing guidance to make it easier for caseworkers, tribes and child welfare agencies to access education records. The Department also created a dedicated web page with links to policy, practice and advocacy advances that address education barriers and supports needed for students in foster care.
